Nick Alff of Hastings Cycles will be on hand on Luxford Field to provide FREE servicing to anyone who brings along their bicycle. He will also conduct FREE ‘Top Tips Maintenance Workshops’ at 10am and 2.30pm. So come and cycle to the Big Day!

Look out for East Sussex National Hotel’s Silent Auction pitch. You can bid for any of the following. All proceeds to Uckfield Festival Association to provide more entertainment and facilities for the residents of Uckfield. Easy to do, just look at what others have bid and up it by a few pounds.

Departing from Uckfield Community Technology College (UCTC) arriving at Luxford Field at approximately 2pm via the High Street. Ten local Primary Schools, UCTC, Spiritus drumming band and Uckfield Performance Ensemble will parade this year. In line with the Festival Theme, Same Sky has developed the depiction of various films in their workshops in schools, to produce a brilliant splash of colour in a spectacular parade.

The 7th Uckfield and District Lions Club 10k Charity Run will take place on Sunday 10th July at 10am. Starting from the Uckfield Rugby Club near Nevill Road it covers a route, which is off road, through the scenic countryside of Buxted Park, finishing back at the Rugby Club. Monies raised will be used to support local charities

Will is a nineteen-year-old singer/ songwriter, playing a variety of genres including blues, pop, ballads and country music, with 4 years’ experience performing in the live music pubs of Sussex, Dorking and Cheltenham. His main influences come from iconic blues musicians such as John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Hendrix. He has spent this last year studying Popular Music at The University of Gloucestershire and has had some very memorable musical experiences playing with two fantastic bands; Ten Tombs and Demi Marriner. He’s looking forward to playing to a home crowd and hopes to see many of you there!

Organised by Uckfield Community Technology College and Uckfield Rotary Club, this always promises to be a massively popular event with a nail-biting finish. Burgers, Ice cream, cakes and drinks available. Prize giving approx. 4pm.

Newtown Action Group Open Garden @ Selby Meadows

A small, woodland garden gradually evolving from a piece of neglected land owned by Uckfield Town Council. It has been cleared and is maintained by local residents. It has a lovely, natural feel with mature trees, hedges and wild flowers. Everything in the garden has been recycled or donated and no chemicals are ever used. Dogs on leads and children are very welcome in this garden. All proceeds to Hospice. Stalls, Refreshments, Childrens games.

Approach via Framfield Road, from Uckfield, Selby Road is on right. Park far end, Selby Road. TN22 5EB.

Admission: A donation supporting Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice would be appreciated.
